Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Loop is designed as a local-first receipt maker. It does not require an online Loop login and does not use a Loop-operated backend to store your receipts.

Local Loop accounts

You may create multiple local Loop accounts or workspaces on the same device. These are local data containers, not online authentication accounts. Loop keeps each account's receipts, customers, saved items, business details and receipt numbering separate.

Data stored on your device

Business details, customer details, receipt contents, logos, preferences, drafts and receipt history are stored locally on the device or browser where you use Loop.

Backups

In the native iOS app, iCloud Backup is enabled by default when iCloud is available and can be turned off at any time in Loop Settings. When enabled, Loop stores a backup in the iCloud storage associated with the Apple Account signed in on your device. Apple provides the iCloud identity and storage layer; Loop does not require a separate online Loop login. The web/PWA version provides manual export and import of local backup files.

Sharing

When you export, print, save or share a receipt or backup, you choose where that file goes. Information you share outside Loop is then subject to the destination service or recipient.

Analytics, tracking and ads

The initial release is designed without advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. If future versions introduce services that change this, this policy and applicable privacy disclosures will be updated.

Deletion

You can erase or delete data for a selected local Loop account without affecting your other local Loop accounts. Removing browser storage or deleting the app can also remove local data that has not been backed up.
